Bath, N.Y. – State police say a 13-year-old juvenile, who was being held at the Glove House Facility, was arrested after he stole a vehicle and left the detention center.

State troopers in Painted Post say they saw the stolen vehicle traveling on I-86 eastbound in Corning and attempted to pull it over but the driver refused to stop.

The driver eventually stopped in the town of Big Flats in Chemung County, where police took the 13-year-old into custody.

The 13-year-old was taken to Rochester Children’s Center under the order of Chemung County Family Court.

Criminal charges are pending following further investigation from the state police.
