Clarence, N.Y. (AP) - A couple faces charges after authorities say they found four children living among two dozen animals and filth inside their home.

The couple, from the Buffalo suburb of Clarence, is charged with child endangerment and animal cruelty.

A pig, rabbits, prairie dogs and tortoises reportedly were among animals found living inside the house in ankle-deep waste. Llamas, cows and other animals were in a barn on the property.

The children are between 7 and 15 years old.

The couple will appear in Clarence court at a later date.
