Brighton, N.Y. – Yellow Jacket Racing hosted a 5K on Sunday where dogs joined their owners as they participated.
About 200 runners and their pets participated in the event, which was sponsored by PetSaver Healthy Pet Superstore and Fleet Feet Sports.
“It’s an absolute blast," said Ellen Brenner-Boutiller, CFO and VP of Fleet Feet Sports and Yellow Jacket Racing "it’s very rare that you can get this many dogs and humans in one place to participate in one single event.”
There was also a 1.5-mile Fun Run during the 5K, as well as a picnic and canine ability demonstration after the race.
