Batavia, N.Y. (AP) - Jacquetta Simmons, accused of punching a 70-year-old Walmart greeter in the face on Christmas Eve, is about to stand trial.
Simmons, police say, punched cashier Grace Suozzi after Suozzi asked to see a receipt for some purchases Simmons made at the back of the store.
Simmons then fled from the store and other customers and employees chased after her.
Suozzi suffered multiple face fractions and Simmons was charged with two counts of second degree assault.
Jury selection starts Monday, August 20, in Batavia.
