Pittsford, N.Y. - Janice Burbank loves Trader Joe's. She has shopped at their store in Virginia.
On Wednesday, she peeked inside the newest store in Pittsford Plaza, anxious to see what the new store looks like.
Burbank is already sold on the store, and isn't sure she'll brave the crowds for the grand opening on Friday. But she will check it out.
We wondered what the appeal is. Once inside, we realized the store has a homey look. And Trader Joe's name is on 85 percent of the products.
You won't find Cheerios in this store. Just Joe O's. But that's all part of the appeal, customers tell us.
Jan Fortuna is from Boston. She is excited to finally have a Trader Joe's store in this area. She said for her, it's all about finding unique products that you cannot get in other stores.
Sarah White loves a bargain. She is a coupon fanatic too, and loves the fact that she can use her discounts at the Trader Joe's store.
White also loves the fact that the store sells all-natural products free of preservatives and artificial coloring.
She hopes to be one of the first inside the new store but is concerned about the crowds.
Trader Joe's Manager Mickey Greenich said the store will not allow crowds to get out of control. Pittsford Plaza has tripled its security force and Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies will also be on patrol to keep crowds orderly before the doors open.
The store opens at 8 a.m. Friday and will be open seven days a week until 9 p.m.
