(Geneva, N.Y.) - One of the highlights for Day 3 was what the crew calls the “Braveheart March” when about 200 volunteers march down the street before they demolish the home.

Cameras captured three separate takes of the march for this segment of "Extreme Reality."

"We're a big primetime show, so we need to look big and amazing," explained designer Michael Moloney.

"They're doing too many takes"--my feet are killing me!" said Linda Chesser, from her place in the crowd.

Five cameras captured scenes from five different angles -- over and over. But as Hollywood vets know, re-takes are routine

Ty Pennington and the designers cheered for an empty street for one take, but thanks to editing – the crowd will be there and it'll all make sense when the episode airs in November.

If you've been watching the progress this week, you probably noticed that the designers wear the same clothes every day. Well, it's not because they forgot to do their laundry. Again it all comes down to editing.  They started shooting the demolition scenes Tuesday and wrapped them up Wednesday.

“I'll tell you a little secret,” said Senior Producer Diane Korman. “It's going to be turned into one day of demolition when you watch the show!”

Lucky for everyone, the pace of the shooting picked up a bit.

"We do have to get those shots because it establishes what happens…pretty much from here forward, it reality rolls," said Moloney.

The crew is confident the house will be finished on Sunday. By later Wednesday afternoon, one project manager said they were just 15 minutes behind schedule.

So they demolished a house people lived in for 200 years...and built one with a boxing ring in it? That's really responsible.

The show's lease the house for the time the work is being done. That way you don't have to pay income tax on the improvements. you do still have to pay the increase on the property tax

I hope this family does have some kind of history cataloged of the original owners. these people that built our homes walked..from usually Connecticut to built what we live in today...walked..with very little. usually had to eat their oxen and sometimes their pets (dogs) and it is destroyed so easily because the basement leaks...so does mine. but I would never consider demolition. extreme makeover has the ability to save our history...

Braveheart.. I didn't see William Wallace or even Mel Gibson... How many people know who William Wallace (AKA braveheart) really was? lets hang their head on London Bridge and expose their entrails...why is it called the braveheart march? to give something away to some undesearving family? I loved the episode where they built the home for the kid with SMA...my granddaughters died of SMA... that was the best one this is not so much

I think this is obscene that such an old home is being demolished....I know nothing of the family but we live in an historic area.suffragists and legislators, senators, poor house over eers, many more people. they tore down a part of the Ontario County History. I own an old home and know we are probably the last residents of this 200+years old home. its sad that something can be destroyed so quickly with no thought. I hope the family does give back to the Ontario County/Geneva area. Extreme makeover should research the homes first. Mine was owned by a senator, founder of Hopewell, poorhouse overseer, judge and a lot of other things....why destroy our history? who stayed there? what if George Washington passed through. it is an old run down street but stop destroying our history. these are people that made our area Gideon Granger Oliver Phelps Phineas Bates has anyone been to Sonnenberg? The treaty was signed on Main St in Canandaigua. 13wham is in Canandaigua weekly...do your research this area is full of history and the media is destroying it. yes we are the "wine regions" the people that founded this area were the real pilgrims, fought indians and weather...I love living here but people are so inconsiderate of our heritage. and every year people continue to "daycation" here. how many really remember where Roseland Park was? no its not where the water park is....Where is Ty anyway?

I think all this coverage will take away from the actual show. Maybe just talk about it without all the video. I'd rather wait until the show airs to see what happens; therefore, when you air clips on the news, I change the channel so as not to spoil the show when it's on.

heh...yeah, I would imagine this will increase the property tax as it will increase the value of the property in a big way. Not only will they have a property tax increase, but they have to pay tax on the value of the home and its contents plus the value of any other prize they get. If someone offers to pay off their mortgage - guess what? they gotta pay tax on that. To the guy who is grousing about ABC's choosing this family - well, if you or someone you know is deserving of this, then NOMINATE them. Otherwise. Hush.

Don't renovations as such increase the property tax? I hope the family can afford it.
