Rochester, N.Y. - A young boy from Rochester is making his breakthrough on the big screen with some big stars.
Twelve-year-old Travaris Spears stars in the new movie "Admission" opposite Tina Fey and Paul Rudd.
Spears plays Nelson, a young boy who is adopted by Rudd's character.
He says Fey and Rudd taught him a lot.
"It was really fun," Spears says. "I was excited to get the role. It took a lot of hard work. Most of all, I learned a lot from it."
Spears now lives in Brooklyn with his mother and is auditioning for more roles.
He encourages budding young actors to follow their dreams.
"Never give up. You gotta work real hard and just follow your heart," he says.
"Admission" is rated PG-13. It opens March 22.
