Rochester, N.Y. - Several Monroe County Democrats want a change in the way the county awards contracts.

This comes in the wake of a state audit that found Monroe County overpaid for services.

The primary contract in question involves public safety communications systems.

Democrats want Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks (R) to renegotiate that contract to save taxpayers' money.

Brooks says the state's audit is incorrect and politically motivated.
