Albion Man Dies In Two-car Crash

Gaines, N.Y. – An Albion man has died following a two-car accident early Sunday morning, according to authorities.

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office says Cameron Hess, 22, of Albion, was driving eastbound on Ridge Road when he ran off the south side of the roadway and struck a newspaper delivery vehicle head-on.

Hess was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were two occupants in the vehicle, Edward Schneider and Christopher Swan, both 21 and from Medina. Swan was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

After being removed from the wreckage by Albion firefighters, Schneider was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital. He is in satisfactory condition.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
