Rochester, N.Y. - A Rochester man is facing several felony charges after police say he drove drunk on New Year's Day, then broke out of a police car while he was in custody and fled.

Allen Jackson, 32, was pulled over around 1 a.m. Tuesday after allegedly running red light.

Police say he had been drinking alcohol while inside the car.

Once he was handcuffed in the back of the police car, Jackson managed to unlock the door and escape.

Police say Jackson was on the run for four hours before he was caught again.

Jackson's license has been revoked 13 times according to Monroe County Sheriff's deputies.

He now faces several felony charges including aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, DWI and escape.

Jackson is being held without bail pending arraignment.
