Rochester, N.Y. - The Fair Election Practices Committee found an anti-Louise Slaughter ad violates the fair campaign pledge.

In a ruling released Monday, the committee ruled on a commercial paid for by Crossroads GPS. The ad, in part, claims that Congresswoman Slaughter voted to spend $25 million on a project to make snow in Vermont. The committee found that wasn't true.

The Fair Election Practices Committee does not have the authority to remove the ad from television.
