Rochester, N.Y., - Fire crews say food left on the stove too long caused a fire in a a Ridgeway Avenue apartment building Tuesday night.
The fire started in the kitchen around 11:15 and spread through the first floor.
Three apartments had to be evacuated as firefighters brought it all under control.
No one was hurt.
The Red Cross is helping the residents displaced by the fire.
