Avon, N.Y. – A Rochester woman was killed while walking to her car afer a wedding reception Saturday afternoon.
Police say 77-year-old Corradina Derosa was hit on State Highway 15 in East Avon around 3:30 p.m.
Derosa was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The driver of the car and her passenger were not hurt.
Police have ruled out cell phone usage and alcohol as factors in the crash. They are still investigating, but for now, they're calling it a "tragic accident."
