Avon, N.Y. - Three people were inured when a car collided with an Avon school bus Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened just after 3:30 p.m. on Route 39 near the intersection of Littleville Road.

Seven students were on the bus at the time; a 9-year-old and 12-year-old, as well as the driver, were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for head and neck pain.

Deputies say Joseph L. Szwaczkowski, 33, of Perry, rear ended the bus.

Szwaczkowski, who was not injured, was ticketed for following too closely.

Authorities say sun glare was also a contributing factor in the crash.
