***UPDATE:  My understanding is this is a weekly radio show that Rep. Massa has done with WKPQ nearly every Sunday for about 3 years.  Probably won't get much more until tomorrow, calls all day are not being returned.

Content of Massa's Radio Broadcast

Hornell, N.Y. - Rep. Eric Massa, who is scheduled to resign his congressional seat Monday, March 8 at 5 p.m., spoke his mind on a radio program that originated in Hornell, N.Y.

He claims the investigation of the House Ethics Committee deals with the New Year's wedding of a staffer and a misunderstood incident which took place in the presence of many.

He says nothing was ever said to him that would lead him to believe a staffer "felt uncomfortable" and puts it on a third staffer for bringing the whole matter forward.

He blames Democrats in Washington for putting people up to this to "get him out of the way" so Healthcare Reform can be passed.

“They will stop at nothing to pass this health care bill, and now they’ve gotten of me, and it will pass. You connect the dots. You ask the question… Why is it, from February 8 until now, no one said a word to me about anything!” Massa says on the air.

He details experiences he had in the U.S. Navy from which others have drawn different and varied conclusions.

The audio drops out but it appears he's holding his most recent CAT Scans and points to what's either a tumor or scar tissue.

His tone is that of someone seriously reconsidering resignation. He states repeatedly that he's retiring Monday.

Was watching the Massa story on 13 and it started to make me wonder what is going on first he resigns for health, then he says he resigns because of ethics reason then about being threaten about the health care vote. Now ifit was his saing that he will vote against the health care vote makes me wonder of he wasn't going to lock step with the Dem. elites did they force him out, so he couldn't vote against it? seems like if you don't go with the flow you will be discredited and denouced by the elite so they can ram through stuff unopposed? If so everyone can say sige hial to the mini furors the are the dem. elites and Ny b ecomes a puppet state for the elites.

I don't know whether to believe this guy or not. Either way, things keep getting worse for the dems.

That's not what is going on taxable, if what Massa is saying is the honest truth, then there is a serious problem with this administration. To pressure and bully people like they are is just outrageous, it makes you wonder if Rham is actually running this country given what Massa has said. To have the unions so brazen about their financial support if this hc bill passes I agree with Massa, that is a bribe. To have the President of the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT pressure OUR GOV into stepping down. This is just beyond the pale.

I am not sure what to think anymore Kodiak. It is starting to seem, to me, that the Federal Government is running rampant through NY. First our Gov and now one of our Senators. This administration is out of control.

ironbear- Massa said, if i'm not mistaken, he would vote the way he thought was right, not the way the people wanted.
