Albany, N.Y. - A decision on a hike in thruway tolls is coming soon.
Thruway Authority Director Thomas Madison says he expects the authority will “advance a change in the toll structure.”
Since the Authority announced a toll hike in May, it’s been slapped with backlash from
Commercial truck drivers and business groups who have fought the proposed 45 percent toll hike, saying the rising cost will be passed along to consumers.
The director says an increase will come but it could be less than initially proposed.
