(ABC) - Barbara Walters has announced some of the people who she thinks are the most fascinating people of 2012.

This year's list includes politicians like Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Olympic Gold medalist Gabby Douglas, Actor/Director Ben Affleck, British boy band sensation One Direction, "Fifty Shades of Grey" author E.L. James and "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane.

Walters will reveal the final three people in an hour and a half-long special, which airs December 12 at 9:30 p.m. on 13WHAM T.V.
