Rochester, N.Y. – Daryl Hall plays at the Kodak Hall at the Eastman Theatre at 8 p.m. tonight.
He'll play music from “Live from Daryl’s House” -- showing musical roots including blues, jazz, country and gospel.
His partner is bluesman Keb' Mo', himself a former headliner at the jazz festival.
Daryl Hall describes his solo album, Laughing Down Crying, his fifth, as a “retrospective a box set of my mind from all eras of my music.”
Two hours earlier, local music legend Bat McGrath plays for free the at the City of Rochester Jazz Street Stage outdoors.
I'm writing songs which I will be very happy to make available to my friends,” McGrath says. “ I drive a John Deere tractor and have a Belgian Malinois named ‘King.’
