Batavia, N.Y. - The City of Batavia is trashing the idea of outsourcing its garbage services.
The city had proposed transferring its garbage and recycling service from current provider ARC to an out-of-town provider.
The measure was rejected in a 7 to 2 vote.
Now the city must renegotiate its contract with ARC which is due to expire soon.
