Batavia’s Bill Wade Retiring After 34 Seasons

Batavia, N.Y. - One of Section V basketball's most winning coaches is moving on.

Bill Wade, head coach of the Batavia Lady Blue Devils, announced his retirement at his team's banquet Thursday night.

Wade coached high school girls' hoops for 34 seasons at Byron Bergen, Notre Dame and Batavia. He also coached at the College at Brockport.

In a statement on his Facebook page he says he'll be in the stands with his wife next season to cheer his girls on.
