Irondequoit/Webster, N.Y. – The Irondequoit Bay Outlet Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic from 9 a.m. until about 3 p.m. Thursday, November 1.

That’s because it’s opening for a brief period for a barge which was prevented from leaving Irondequoit Bay due to Hurricane Sandy.

Any other boaters who wish to enter or leave Irondequoit Bay can do so within the hour between 11 a.m. and noon.

The seasonal swing bridge connects Culver Road in Irondequoit to Lake Road in Webster.

After 3 p.m. November 1, the bridge stays open for vehicles until April 1, 2013.
