Webster, N.Y. - A record number of runners turned out Thanksgiving Thursday for the Turkey Trot race in Webster.
More than 5,200 people signed up, forcing organizers to place a cap on the number of people running--for the first time.
For many, the Thanksgiving Day run has become an annual tradition.
“I'm not looking for any time out of this race--it's just for fun and it's a huge race,” said runner Karen Walrath. “It's just fun to be around this many people in Rochester!”
In the Rochester area, the Turkey Trot is second in size only to Chase’s Corporate Challenge.
