Fairport, N.Y. - You can donate blood today in honor of the five Fairport girls who died five years ago this week.

The families of the “Fairport Five” are asking the community to give blood in honor of their daughters Bailey Goodman, Meredith McClure, Sara Monnet, Hannah Congdon and Katie Shirley who lost their lives in the crash East Bloomfield.

The blood drive will be held Friday at St. John Church in Fairport from noon to 7 p.m.

This week marks five years since the girls died in a crash.

The recent Fairport High graduates were on their way to a cottage on Keuka Lake when their SUV hit a tractor trailer head on.
