South Bristol, N.Y. – The 2 or 3 inches of snow that coated Bristol Mountain Saturday morning wasn’t nearly enough to open any of its slopes to skiers.
Still, workers there were able to fire up the snow guns overnight meaning the winter resort may open for business in the coming days.
The goal is to have skiers kicking up powder by New Year’s Eve, when the resort will throw its annual bash.
The resort opened on Dec. 12 last year. The season is scheduled to run into April.
