Broken Water Pipe Causes Flooding at Downtown Building

Rochester, N.Y. - A broken sprinkler line is to blame for flooding a downtown Rochester building just after midnight Wednesday.

The building on East Main Street, which houses various businesses, attorney offices and a Key Bank, received major water damage. 

Firefighters from four companied responded to the building after the automatic alarm was activated.

When firefighters arrived they found the broken water pipe on the third floor of the five story building.

Firefighters say it may be weeks before the damage is repaired.
