Brooks Joins WWII Veterans On Honor Flight

Rochester, N.Y. - Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks joined 46 World War II veterans for an honor flight Saturday morning.

It was the 23rd mission for Honor Flight Rochester. The non-profit organization flies World War II veterans to Washington, D.C. to tour exhibits honoring their service.

Brooks is volunteering in the capacity of "Guardian" during the trip. She will assist a local veteran in having a safe and memorable experience as the entire group visits several national WWII memorials.

Brooks and the group of veterans return to Rochester Sunday morning, June 17.
