NY 24th Congressional District - Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle has conceded to her opponent Dan Maffei in the 24th congressional district race.

Democrat Dan Maffei has a 12,000 vote lead over Buerkle.

On Friday, Buerkle said that even with the absentee ballots that have not been counted, she does not think she could have won.

Buerkle would have had to win almost all of the remaining ballots to close the gap.
