Rochester, N.Y. – It could be good news for some fans like Brenda Roberson, a fan of Syracuse University football and the Buffalo Bills.

“(Marrone's) an individual that works with the team,” said Roberson. “You can see how much he cares about it, I like that. He's just not on the sidelines handing out directions."

Roberson has seen Marrone help turn Syracuse football into a winning program. But not all Bills fans share her optimism.

“Honestly I think it's a bad move,” said lifelong Bills fan Julian Brown. “You’re taking a .500 college coach when you have NFL coaches who are seasoned coaches, like I would have even went after Bill Cowher, someone like that.”

For Syracuse fans at The Distillery in Rochester, the possibility of losing Marrone isn't something they expected, especially as the team heads to the ACC next year.

“Pretty sad, but I think pretty confident in the Syracuse program could take its talents to another bowl game and hopefully win one as well, again,” said Syracuse fan Tony Torres.

To win is exactly what Bills fans say they hope for next season. Especially after 13 years of not making the playoffs.

“I want us to go to the playoffs,” said Roberson, “at least make to the playoffs. I watched the game when the lost to the Cowboys in the Super Bowl, so I want them back in games like we're watching today.”
