Buffalo, N.Y. – Buffalo Business First magazine has released its administrative efficiency rankings for Upstate New York’s school districts, with several Rochester-area schools in the top 100.
The highest scores went to districts with low spending, high pupil-staffer ratios and small amounts of debt service.
Arkport was highest-ranking Rochester-area district, at No. 2, trailing only Lancaster (Erie County). Victor (10) was the only other area district in the top 10.
Hornell (41), Palmyra-Macedon (51), LeRoy (55), Fairport (62), Honeoye Falls-Lima (64), Pittsford (72), Gates-Chili (76), Greece (80), Holley (83), Webster (91) and Brighton (96) also made the top 100.
The rankings included 480 districts in 48 upstate counties.
