Albany, N.Y. - Bus safety is the focus of two bills moving through Albany.

One measure would bar convicted sex offenders from becoming a bus driver, or renewing their commercial license.

The other bill would mandate a 60-day license suspension for passing a stopped school bus. The law would apply to drivers convicted of the traffic violation two or more times within ten years.
