Leicester, N.Y. – A Caledonia man was killed around 2 p.m. Friday while working in Leicester.

State Police say a garbage truck operated by Timothy Gorton, 25, of Caledonia, stopped to assist another garbage truck during his shift for L T Disposal. When Gorton parked, the two garbage trucks were facing in opposite directions.

Gorton began to help the other truck when he was pinned between both trucks. State Police say Gorton's truck was left in reverse.

Gorton was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both garbage trucks were owned by L T Disposal.
