Rochester, N.Y. - A proposed law would ban the sale of synthetic drugs in Monroe County.
Under a bill in the Monroe County Legislature, the sale of synthetic marijuana and bath salts would be a misdemeanor. Violators would face up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
The measure is expected to eventually pass.
Counties in the Syracuse area have already passed similar laws.
