Rochester, N.Y. - New details have surfaced about the evidence against convicted killer Frank Garcia.
Frank Garcia is already serving two life sentences for two killings on Valentine’s Day. On Monday he goes on trial for murdering two others in Brockport, that same day.
Prosecutors say Frank Garcia killed four people on Valentine’s Day out of revenge. They say he was angry over losing two jobs because of sexual harassment suits filed by two former coworkers.
Garcia was convicted in the murders of former coworker Kimberly Glatz and her husband Christopher in Ontario County.
When he goes on trial Monday, it’s for allegedly murdering another former co-worker, Mary Silliman --and Randal Norman--in Brockport, earlier that same day outside Lakeside Hospital.
Garcia had also allegedly offered Silliman money for sex.
Evidence against Garcia will include letters he allegedly wrote about the killings, in which he said he “couldn't take it anymore.”
Garcia left a voicemail for a professor at Nazareth College where Garcia was a grad student. In that message, prosecutors say Garcia talked about the murders and said, “I have to take care of business.” He also received a termination letter from Lakeside Hospital just days before the killing spree.
Garcia's attorney Joe Damelio said Garcia maintains he was never at Lakeside Hospital the morning of the murders. He said he wants his client to have a fair trial, and has asked for a change of venue due to the publicity Garcia received in his Ontario County Trial.
The judge has reserved decision on how much of the evidence from Garcia's trial in Ontario County can be used in his trial in Monroe County.
The judge ruled that cameras can be in the courtroom for parts of the trial.
Jury selection is scheduled to begin next Monday.
