Canandaigua, N.Y. – Some guests at Wood Library turned the clock back 100 years Sunday.

The library hosted a “Downton Abbey” marathon and a 1913 fashion show as the City of Canandaigua celebrates its centennial.

Those in attendance watched the popular British TV show, which is set around the time Canandaigua became a city.

The city has several events planned throughout the year, reminding residents why they love living there.

“You can find a lot of things to volunteer for,” said Marianne Timms, a Canandaigua resident. “As a semi-retired person, I volunteer for a lot of things, such as my church. I also do a lot of work at Sonnenberg Mansion and Gardens.”
