Internationally Acclaimed Rochester Professor Dies

Rochester, N.Y. - A Rochester professor who was internationally recognized for her expertise in pediatric infectious diseases has died.

Caroline "Caren" Breese Hall, M.D. passed away on December 10.

A native of Brighton, Dr. Hall was a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Her research on vaccines resulted in more than 500 published articles, while her work studying viral diseases in children was recognized throughout the world.

Dr. Hall was 73 years old.
