(13WHAM-TV) - We are paying more for cell phone service.

A government report shows that spending went up more than 4 percent last year.

That's the biggest increase since 2005.

The average household spends more than $1,200 each year on phone service.

Cell phone carriers are betting they can get consumers to spend even more as they phase out unlimited data plans.
