Clyde, N.Y. - People in Clyde are getting a new grocery store, nearly two years after its only grocery store closed,  according to Clyde Mayor Jerry Fremouw.

A P&C store closed in the village in May 2009, forcing drivers to travel more than 15 minutes to get to the nearest grocery store.

John Hart, who owns four other Save-a-Lot locations, purchased the P&C property, and plans to renovate the former store.
