Canandaigua, N.Y. - State Police say a Waterloo man volunteered as a youth coach to entice young teenage boys back to his residence and sexually abuse them.

Police say Leslie Hoke, 37, would also volunteer at fire departments so he could meet younger or junior firefighters.

State Police have identified victims from the Canandaigua, Geneva and Waterloo area - along with past victims from the Prattsburg and Pultney area in Steuben County.

Hoke is charged him with criminal sex act in the first degree involving a 12-year-old boy.

State Police say there are at least four victims, possibly 12 to 15 more they are investigating.

Investigators say the victims ages are from eight to 18 years old.

State Police are asking that any organization that has a teen group or teen peer type setting involving youths research in Hoke could have been a member or a volunteer in their organization.

The investigation that began three weeks ago is continuing and more charges are expected.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Chris Burns at 398-4100.
