Gates, N.Y. — Band members of the Coupe de Villes are still trying to figure out why someone would steal their equipment trailer.

“It just horrifies me,” said guitarist Tommy Binachi.

$20,000 in equipment was taken from a parking lot on Howard Drive in Gates.

It happened on Thursday, December 6th or 7th, according to Binachi.

Amplifiers, a public address system, speakers and drum sets were among the items lost, according to band members.

“We’re all veterans, so we will pull together, we will do whatever we have to do to do this job,” said the George DeMott, the band’s drummer.

The Coupe De Villes have a performance scheduled for Saturday in Newark and are planning to borrow equipment from other local musicians in order to perform.

If you have any information on the theft, you are asked to contact the Gates Police Department.
