Rochester, N.Y. - New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo was back in Rochester Monday. While he has kept mum on the issue in recent months, his name continues to pop up as a possible contender for New York Governor.
Monday he said, "I'm focusing on being the attorney general. I'm focusing on doing my job every day. Next year will be an election year and if I choose to stay in public service, which is my current intent, then next year, I will engage in elections and politics. This year I would really like to focus on being attorney general as much as possible."
In September, reports were leaked that Governor David Paterson was under pressure to drop out and make way for a different candidate to run on the Democratic party line.
