Canandaigua, N.Y. - Canandaigua officials have named a Pennsylvania man as the new city manager.
David Forrest will succeed City Manager Kay James when she retires in March.
Forrest has been a municipal manager for 18 years, mainly in the suburban Philadelphia area.
City council will pass a resolution during a February 7th meeting at City Hall regarding the change.
Forrest will be sworn in during the March 7th council meeting.
The appointment will be effective March 8th which will also be James’ last day in office.
