Rochester, N.Y. - A Rochester man is facing charges after police say he pointed a gun at an officer.

Davon Kendrick, 21, is charged with menacing a police officer and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police were called to Avenue B near St. Paul Street around 2:45 a.m. Saturday. When they got to the scene, Kendrick ran and police followed.

Police say Kendrick then turned and pointed the gun at the officers, at which point Officer Samuel Ognibene fired twice at Kendrick, but did not hit him.

Kendrick dropped the gun and was subsequently arrested.
