New York -  New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg says at least 10 people have died in NYC as result of Hurricane Sandy.

Two people on Staten Island, three in Queens, two in Manhattan and two in Brooklyn have died since the height of the storm Monday until Tuesday morning.

It's not clear yet how the people died, but police say the deaths are connected to the megastorm Sandy that caused 13-foot storm surges in Manhattan.

They say more information would be available soon.
