Albany, N.Y. - A report coming out of Albany today could help efforts to increase the minimum wage in New York State.

Democrats say the new report finds an increase in the New York State minimum wages would fuel $600 million in additional spending in the state.

Governor Cuomo wants to raise minimum wage from $7.25 to $8.50 an hour.
