Newly public divorce paperwork shows that the mother of Adam Lanza had the authority to make all decisions regarding his upbringing. Nancy Lanza's divorce was finalized in September 2009 when Adam was 17.
The court papers made public Monday makes no mention of any mental health issues regarding Adam.
Lanza killed his mother before going to Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown on Friday morning and killing 20 children and six adults before taking his own life.
