Greece, N.Y. - The first park in Monroe County just for dogs opened Friday.
It's in the Greece Canal Park. The July opening was delayed because of the wet weather.
Dogs will be able to run leash free in a mulched area surrounded by a chain-link fence.
"Parks Director Larry Staub said, “Seven years and $52,000--we did it. We constructed our first dog park. We even have enough money to construct a second one next year."
That second dog park will open at Ellison Park next year.
