Rochester, N.Y. – Three local kids fighting critical illnesses have had their dreams come true the last two weekends, thanks to the Dream Factory, a nonprofit organization dedicated to granting sick children’s dreams.
Justin Samis, 14, of Spencerport, who has hemophilia, found out Sunday he will get to go to Walt Disney World with his family for a week.
“I didn’t think this was ever going to happen,” he said. “I felt that it was too good to be true, so overall I’m excited. I’m speechless.”
Last weekend, two Rochester siblings with sickle-cell disease received room makeovers from the Dream Factory.
