Benton, N.Y. - The mayor of the Seneca Lake Village of Dresden has been arrested for drunk driving, according to the Yates County Sheriff’s Department.
Joe Gibson, 34, was stopped on Route 54 east of Penn Yan Friday, Dec. 23, by Yates County Sheriff Deputies for a routine traffic violation.
During the stop it was determined the mayor was intoxicated and he was charged with DWI.
Gibson was released pending Benton Town Court Action.
