Rochester, N.Y. – Rochester Police have charged the driver in Saturday’s crash on North Street.
Police say the driver, Jimmy Jones Jr., stole a car that was idling in a driveway.
An officer on DWI patrol noticed the vehicle because it was driving at a high rate of speed. When in pursuit, the officer followed police protocol, and backed off because the SUV showed no signs of stopping.
Jones hit utility poles, a parked car and two homes just after midnight Saturday morning.
Two passengers, both teenagers, are still hospitalized.
