Rochester, N.Y. -- Rochester police say two cars were involved in a crash late Monday night.

Emergency crews responded to the report of a crash at the intersection of Monroe Ave and Culver Rd. around midnight.

According to police, the first vehicle ran a red light and slammed into the second vehicle. The drivers were the only people in each vehicle.

When police arrived, they say the driver of the second vehicle was trapped and had to be cut out of the vehicle.

The driver of the second car was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash, although no charges have been filed as of now.
